This is a response for Blood Red Horse, which is our current novel. Your response should be 5-8 sentences in length. You may choose the 2 reading strategies you use in your response, but label each strategy you use. (Predict, Question, Comment, Connection, Infer, Visualize, or Evaluate). If you need you may have more than 2 strategies, but I want you to try to do just two.
When you finish with this response work on your vocabulary.
Please write a short blurb (about 5-8 sentences) regarding your thoughts on Night. Try to include a passage or quote that was especially meaningful to you as a reader. This should not be a plot summary, but more like the commentary from the quotation sandwich.
Due Date: You must post on or before Halloween to get credit!
Parents-
Due to my graduate class I was not able to meet you at open house, however Parent/Teacher conferences are coming up and I have very few actual meetings. If you would like to meet with me about your child’s grade, the class they are in, or just to chat please sign up. October 9th 4-8 and October 10th 8-12. THANKS!
Using either Buck Fever or the novel you are currently reading answer the following questions.
1. What was one prediction you had for the novel? Did you confirm or reject that prediction?
2. Make a connection-one of each. (Text to Text, Text to Self, Text to World)
3. What book do you think I should read next? Why? (If you don’t know the title–then what genre)
Once you have finished this work on your senior quote.
Alright…I have been flooded with questions about “missing” assignments this week and here is the scoop! When you have the missing screen open on Skyward and it shows a missing assignment check for the following:
* (this means I have not put a grade in the book yet); 0 (this means that I had put the grades in the book, but you didn’t have a paper–check the no names); √ (this means missing, but look for one of the two above symbols to see which type of missing you are)
Questions, Comments, Concerns–leave me a comment.
Please comment or question here about the read aloud. This is where you will get one of your credits for the read aloud this week. Make sure to include your name or initials so I know how to identify you.
