There have been some interesting articles recently related to the use of “Smart” Boards and use of student responders. District 228 continues to try to grow in effectiveness in using this technology.

You may want to consider trying some of this technology utilizing the DonorsChoose portal that is appearing to be growing in popularity. Here is an example: http://www.donorschoose.org/donors/proposal.html?id=115352

I have donated money to this site in the past but at the time there wasn’t any local schools with projects listed.

If you post a project, then you need to get the word out that it’s available for donations, perhaps with a blurb in the local newspaper about the district utilizing internet technologies to further education..

Local teachers posting specific requests for their classes sounds to me like a very good avenue for obtaining additional local support. I believe the idea of giving money to specific local projects is much more palatable to someone than giving money to a general fund which is spent on unknown projects.
