COMPUTER APPLICATIONS

Important links:

This will be an important area for students to access during their journey throughout the semester. The following summarizes the links that you can find on the left of your screen:

Practice
Below you will find material that you can use for practice at home. There are recommended websites for you to use, and there are also documents that provide you with a little more "pizzaz" than the traditional repetitive nature of the book.

Vocabulary
Here you will be able to access all of your vocabulary lists - no more excuses about leaving it at school!

Documents
This is where you will find the instructions and examples for the documents that we will be completing in class. This will serve as an excellent resource for you as we complete the second half of the semester.

Technique Sheet
These are my expectations in terms of the technique you should be using while keying. Follow these and you are on your way to keying success! (this is a pdf file that you can print off and keep)

Timed Writings
Look here to find the scale for timed writings.

Skyward
Online Grade Access (you must know your login information).

Grading Scale
The Geneseo CUSD #228's current grading scale (adopted district wide).

Computer Lab Policy
This is an extremely important document for everyone who uses a computer in the Geneseo School District. You are required to sign a release form before you can use the school's network. The same information can be found in your student handbook. Look on page 20 of the pdf file located here.

Extra Credit
Look here for the extra credit question. I will try to post one every week, but there will be a few weeks where a new question will not be posted. Always look for the due date on the question - your answer must be entered by then in order for you to get credit.

Internet Safety
This Powerpoint presentation will give you details on how to be a safe web-surfer. In our age of technology and personal electronic communication, knowing how to stay safe is of paramount importance.
