The Geneseo Middle School after school Peer Tutoring Program ended on May 14th. I am happy to report that every student who signed up to receive tutoring help improved their grades in at least half of their core subjects. 75% of the students improved in 3 or more of their core subjects, and 40% of the students improved their grades in all classes since joining the program. I would like to thank the tutors, tutees, staff, parents, and administration for supporting this successful program.

I attended the all-unit choir concert last night and it was outstanding. Congratulations to all of the students and staff for an outstanding performance! If you attended last night or participated- what was your favorite part or song of the concert?

This past week we completed our ISAT tests. What were your thoughts on the test? What was the easiest part of the test and why? What was the hardest part of the test and why? If Geneseo Middle School were to do anything different for giving this test- what should it be and why?

If you could wish for 1 thing this holiday season what would it be? This can be school related or nonschool related! The first 3 students to respond to this will receive a small holiday present!

The Geneseo Middle School Peer Tutoring Program officially started on November 17th. This after school program allows peers to tutor peers to help them with school work, prepare for upcoming quizes and tests, and organization. We had a very successful first day and we are looking forward to continuing this positive program all year long.
