We talked in science today on how a roller coaster works and the energy it needs.  The potential energy is all the stored energy you have at the top of the first hill and kinetic energy is the energy in your movement down the track.

Verb zoo is a way to add to our noun town in a creative and fun way.  All 10 animals in the zoo will be doing some sort of an action verb.  I will be interested to see what animals are in your zoos.

Yesterday we started the novel Tuck Everlasting.  So far we have learned the three events that seem to have no connection, but eventually will.  Those three events are:  Mae Tuck riding to town to meet her sons, Winnie deciding to run away, and a stranger in a yellow suit.  What could the connection be?

Just one more day to go and ISAT 2010 is complete!  I am very proud of all of you and how hard you are working to do your very best on the test.  We will finish up the math sessions tomorrow and have a relaxing Friday.

Today in science we did a chemical reaction with hydrogen peroxide and yeast.  What happens when you combine the two?  Warm foam that oozes out of the bottle like toothpaste!  Look at the pictures below! (click on the title elephant toothpaste)

Great job today on the first reading and math ISAT tests.  All of you took your time and checked over your answers before turning it in.  That is a great habit to get into.  Tomorrow we will do the writing test.  Remember to eat a good breakfast and get plenty of sleep!
