Can you believe we have been in school 100 days? Students spent time on this day practicing place value and sorting 100 into groups of 2′, 5’s, and 10’s. Students also make predictions and practiced probability using dice and pennies to toss and tally. Students also took turns interacting with the white board to practice patterns to 100.

What have we learned in 100 days of first grade?
Where do hamburgers come from?
Mrs. Janson was back already! She went through the ingredients of a hamburger and its origin in agriculture. Students helped build a model hamburger and then created a yummy hamburger treat! Thanks again, Mrs. Janson.
Ag in the Classroom
Mrs. Janson was back this month to read a book about the ingredients of pizza and how important agriculture is to the process. The students cooperatively built a model of a pizza as Mrs. Janson introduced the ingredients and their origin
.
Mrs. Janson had fun with the ingredient, ANCHOVIES! She brought in pizza flavored goldfish crackers instead. Students participated in completing a word search and matching activity while eating their yummy snack. Thank you to Mrs. Janson!
