Contest Friday March 12th, 2010
Dear Parents and Students,
On Friday March 12th, 2010 the Geneseo Bands 6th through 8th grade, including the Jazz Band will travel to Challand Middle School, Sterling Illinois to participate in the Illinois Grade School Music Associations Organizational Contest (IGSMA). The following is the schedule for performances by our four groups:
Jazz Band – 5:00 p.m. (warm up at 4:35 p.m.)
Concert Band (7th Grade) – 5:50 p.m. (warm up at 5:25)
Symphonic Band (8th Grade) – 6:40 p.m. (warm up at 6:15 p.m.)
Beginning Band (6th Grade) – 7:30 p.m. (warm up at 7:05 p.m.)
Students need to report to Geneseo Middle School at 2:30 p.m. Students must arrive in their band uniform which is black tuxedo shirt, black pants, black shoes & socks, Green cummerbund & bow tie. Students should bring money for supper and snacks. All band students will be given another information packet regard Friday’s events and times.
