PE Uniform Requirement

  • White t-shirt   … plain or with maple leaf emblem …
  • solid color shorts … the color doesn’t matter.  Logos are ok; stripes are not.
  • white socks
  • gym shoes
  • sweat shirts and sweat pants may be worn over the PE uniform … stripes and/or writing on sweats is acceptable.

Why a PE Uniform?

  • Hygiene: Students should wear different clothes in PE than they wear the rest of the day.
  • Modesty: A uniform requirement helps to ensure that students are appropriately covered while participating in activity.
  • Safety: Athletic wear allows ease of movement in all activities.

Why solid color shorts?

  • The PE department staff wants to emphasize the need to change clothes for physical education class.
  • Plain, solid color shorts are less likely to be in a student’s daily wardrobe.
  • While we know there are no guarantees, we believe solid shorts will be worn only for PE.
